Railways reclaims 168.25 acres of land

LAHORE : Pakistan Railways has reclaimed a total of 168.25 acres of land through anti-encroachment operations across various divisions.

Pakistan Railways has further accelerated its anti-encroachment operations to eliminate all illegal occupations on state-owned land.

During a period from April 1 to 25, 2025, the largest recovery was made in Karachi Division, where 147.94 acres of land were retrieved. Sukkur Division followed with the recovery of 9.28 acres.

Similarly, 4.49 acres were reclaimed in Multan Division, 3.53 acres in Lahore Division, and 1.42 acres in Rawalpindi Division.

Additionally, 1.09 acres were retrieved from Peshawar Division, 0.48 acres from Quetta Division, and 0.01 acre from Mughalpura Division. The reclaimed land includes commercial, residential, and agricultural properties.
