LAHORE:The body of a newborn baby boy was discovered on Kahna Ferozpur Road on Tuesday. The tragic sight was noticed by passersby, prompting them to immediately inform the emergency services. Upon receiving the alert, a team from Rescue 1122 swiftly arrived at the scene and took charge of the situation. The body was later handed over to the police for further investigation. Police suspect that the infant was abandoned soon after birth, possibly to conceal an act deemed a social stigma. Police have shifted the body to the morgue for post-mortem examination and have initiated a search for the individuals responsible for discarding the child in such a brutal manner.
608 encroachers arrested: Lahore Police have arrested 608 individuals so far this year as part of an ongoing crackdown on encroachments. Breaking down the arrests, the spokesman reported 152 suspects were detained in Cantonment Division, 141 in Iqbal Town, 97 in Model Town, 83 in City Division, 69 in Civil Lines, and 66 in Sadar Division.
