LAHORE:A son killed his father in the Lohari Gate area, following a minor argument. Police reported that Haris Ali, a resident of Lohari Gate Sutar Mandi, had a disagreement with his father, Shahzad.
During the argument, Haris pushed his father, causing him to fall. The father was immediately rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries. Body was moved to the morgue. Police arrested Haris Ali. Initial investigations revealed that the father’s health deteriorated after the fall, and he died shortly after being taken to the hospital.
26 held for distributing toxic liquor
Lahore police conducted targeted crackdowns and maintained surveillance during Eid holidays, ensuring public safety. In three days, authorities arrested 26 suspects for distributing toxic liquor, 46 individuals for aerial firing and displaying weapons, and 126 youths for doing wheelie. Over 1,000 officers actively managed crowd control, while more than 5,000 additional personnel were deployed for security.
Woman dies in road accident
A traffic accident occurred near Loharan Wala Kho on Multan Road, resulting into death of a woman and leaving two others injured. According to eyewitnesses, a motorbiker was travelling at high speed when it collided with a pedestrian, leading to critical injuries. Rescue 1122 and emergency services promptly arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance and transport the injured to hospital. The injured woman died before reaching the hospital, while the other two victims were under medical care. Their condition is yet to be confirmed by hospital authorities.
Man arrested for stabbing his wife
Police have arrested a man for stabbing his wife over a domestic dispute in the jurisdiction of Misri Shah police station on Thursday.
According to details, 42-year old woman, a resident of Kachupura, was brutally attacked by her husband, Jamal Shah. Alleging infidelity, he assaulted her with a knife, inflicting severe injuries to her neck and abdomen. Rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the victim to Mayo Hospital. Police have taken Jamal Shah into custody and registered a case against him.
