The Mayo Hospital chapter of Young Doctors Association (YDA), Punjab, has sought donations from the philanthropists for procurement of necessary equipment and other facilities in the hospital.
In this regard, the YDA has not only put up banners in the hospital to seek donors’ help but also made donation appeal through social media. It is worth mentioning here that the YDA in other hospitals has also put up banners seeking charity for various purposes to improve healthcare services in the hospitals.
In a press statement issued here on Monday, the YDA Mayo Hospital’s spokesman alleged the Punjab government was busy in building Orange Line Train while hospitals were lacking basic facilities of life for both patients and doctors.
To improve quality of life and to provide standard treatment to poor patients, the donors are requested to provide necessary equipment and other items for different wards of Mayo Hospital, including ECG Machines, BIPAP Machines, Pulse Oximeters, water coolers, new split ACs in wards, etc.
He appealed to people to donate their Zakat and other donations and assured to spend each and every penny for good purpose.
