Martyred cop’s family gets house

LAHORE:Inspector General of Police (IGP), Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar Monday provided a house to the family of a police officer who embraced martyrdom in the line of duty.

According to the police spokesperson, the family of Constable Muhammad Jahangir has been given a house worth Rs13.5 million. Cop Jahangir embraced martyrdom in 2024 while fighting with criminals in Kacha area. His family includes his parents, two brothers, and one sister. Upon the special efforts of IGP, the Punjab government allocated funds for the martyr's family’s house. The IGP lauded the sacrifice of the cop and said he laid down his life while fulfilling his duties.
