LAHORE:A delegation from Sundas Foundation and children suffering from thalassemia and hemophilia called on Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider at Governor’s House on Friday.
Patron Sohail Warraich, Director Sundas Foundation Khalid Abbas Dar, President Sundas Foundation Yasin Khan and Manager Communication, PR and Media Imran Mehr were part of Sundas Foundation delegation.
Speaking on the occasion, the Punjab governor said that serving people suffering from life-threatening diseases to alleviate their sufferings is a noble deed. He said that Sundas Foundation is doing a great job for thalassemia patients. He said that Sundas Foundation and other such welfare institutions should be encouraged. He said that the young generation should donate blood for the children suffering from thalassemia.
The governor said that children suffering from thalassemia, special and helpless children have the same right to visit the Governor’s House as politicians and ministers.
He also invited the children for Iftar. He further said that as long as he is the Governor of Punjab, the doors of the Governor’s House will be open for poor, orphans, the needy and the sick.
