LAHORE:The distribution of financial assistance under Punjab Chief Minister’s Nigehban Ramazan package was reviewed in a meeting chaired by Commissioner Lahore Division Zaid bin Maqsood here on Wednesday.
The Commissioner Lahore said that a total of 399,205 low income families are being delivered pay orders to their doorsteps in Lahore Division. The pay order amount is Rs10 thousand and there is no deduction of any kind.
Commissioner Lahore Division was informed in the meeting that the distribution of pay orders is underway smoothly for the registered citizens under the Nigehban Ramazan package. The teams have been formed at the tehsil and UC level to distribute pay orders received from banks.
The Commissioner Lahore said that it is being ensured that the package of the Chief Minister of Punjab is reaching to deserving people in time and without any deduction. There is no franchise, agent or government fee is involved on the whole process.
Zaid Bin Maqsood instructed that all DCs must monitor the distribution of pay orders themselves and take strict legal action against the deduction by any person or agent. He asked the deserving families to contact immediately by calling to complaint cell on 080002345 if there is any complaint.
Commissioner Lahore said that Nigehban Ramazan package is being delivered to one lakh 99 thousand 287 families in Lahore, 81 thousand 796 in Sheikhupura, 42,793 in Nankana Sahib district and 75,329 deserving families in Kasur district. The Commissioner Lahore also reviewed the supply of sugar in all the districts and Ramazan Bazaar.
DC Lahore Syed Musa Raza, Additional Commissioner Abdul Salam Arif, DC Nankana M Tasleem Rao, DC Kasur Imran Ali, DC Sheikhupura Shahid Imran Martha and Punjab Social Protection Authority officers participated in the meeting.
