LAHORE:Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved five development schemes worth over Rs12 billion. The approval was made in the 67th meeting of the PDWP, held here Tuesday. The meeting was presided by Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan. The meeting was attended by Secretary P&D Board Dr Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Masood Anwar, members of the P&D Board, and other senior officers. The approved schemes included Reconstruction/Rehabilitation of GT Road from Quaid-i-Azam Interchange (Lahore Ring Road) to Wagah Border, District Lahore, at a cost of Rs6.946 billion, Revamping of Lahore Zoo at a cost of Rs2.039 billion, Construction of an Inter-Provincial Joint Check Post (IPJCP) in Punjab at Attock Khurd, District Attock, at a cost of Rs1.009 billion, Construction of an Inter-Provincial Joint Check Post (IPJCP) in Punjab at Dajal, District Bhakkar, at a cost of Rs1.188 billion, and Construction of an Inter-Provincial Joint Check Post (IPJCP) in Punjab at Ghazi Ghat, District Dera Ghazi Khan, at a cost of Rs885.124 million.
