NCA hosts poetry symposium

LAHORE:The National College of Arts (NCA) hosted a grand literary poetry symposium, ‘Mataa-e-Loh-o-Qalam,’ featuring some of the most renowned poets of Pakistan.

The event was organised to promote Urdu literature and cultivate an appreciation for poetry among the younger generation. The session was presided over by Iftikhar Arif, while other distinguished poets, including Kishwar Naheed, Anwar Shaoor, Asghar Nadeem Syed, Ashfaq Hussain, Abbas Tabish, Arvinder Chamk, Adnan Baig, Anjum Salimi, Shakeel Jazib, Rahman Faris, and Shaheen Abbas, captivated the audience with their poetic expressions.

During the event, poets highlighted the grandeur of Urdu literature, addressed social issues, and conveyed messages of love and peace through their poetry. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the performances and applauded each poet with great enthusiasm.

On this occasion, NCA Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Murtaza Jafri stated that such literary events play a crucial role in fostering a connection between the younger generation and the arts while also enhancing their creative abilities. The symposium was attended by students, faculty members, and literary enthusiasts, making it a memorable evening for poetry lovers.
