LAHORE:The great granddaughter of Sir Ganga Ram and the Trustee of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi, Ms Parul Datta, along with a delegation visited Fatima Jinnah Medical University/Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore, on Wednesday.
Other members of the delegation were: Abhiram Seth, Ms Radhika Seth and Ms Seema Ram. Fatima Jinnah Medical University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal welcomed the guests and expressed his pleasure for gracing the varsity with their visit.
The VC also organised a meeting in which he highlighted the establishment of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Fatima Jinnah Medical College, achievements of Fatima Jinnah Medical University and exemplary service of Sir Ganga Ram. He appreciated the services of Sir Ganga Ram and said people are benefiting from institutions established by him and the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital has a prominent place among such institutions. The VC showed the delegation round different departments of the hospital.
A One-Stop Women Health Centre was also inaugurated on the occasion where other health facilities including Breast Clinic, Mammography, and Ultrasound facilities will be available for women. Shields and history books were presented to the delegation on the occasion.
Registrar Prof M Nadeem, Principal Prof Dr Abdul Hameed, Deans Prof Dr Bilquis Shabbir, Prof Dr Aliya Zahid, Prof Dr Shamila Ejaz Munir, Prof Dr Naveed Akbar Hotiana, Medical Superintendent Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Dr Arif Iftikhar, Prof Mah Jabeen Masood and faculty members were also present.
