770 arrested for violating Anti-Kite Flying Act

LAHORE:Around 770 accused were arrested and 747 cases were registered for violation of the Anti-Kite Flying Act across the province during the month of January.

More than 48,000 kites and 1,764 spinning wheels were recovered while challans in more than 500 cases were submitted. Punjab Police spokesperson further said that last year, 12,525 suspects were arrested and 11,866 cases were registered across the province.

Meanwhile, Police arrested robbers, thieves, and a kite manufacturer in various citywide operations. Bhatti Gate police busted a motorcycle theft gang, recovering stolen bikes and weapons. Nawab Town police apprehended two suspects fleeing on a stolen motorcycle, while Nishtar Colony police arrested a robbery duo involved in multiple incidents.

Qila Gujjar Singh police shut down an illegal kite manufacturing unit, seizing 300 kites and related materials. Meanwhile, Misri Shah police reunited a missing elderly woman and a young girl with their families.
