Man shoots himself in staged robbery to escape marriage

LAHORE:In a bizarre turn of events, a young man in Sabzazar fabricated a robbery incident to avoid getting married, only to land himself in legal trouble.

According to a spokesperson for the DIG Operations, the incident unfolded when police received reports of a robbery in which a man, identified as Ali Haider, sustained a gunshot wound. Taking notice of the case, DIG Operations directed an investigation team, led by SSP Operations, to uncover the truth within 24 hours. The police launched an inquiry and quickly pieced together the actual sequence of events. It was revealed that Ali Haider had staged the entire episode. In an effort to evade familial pressure to marry, he shot himself and made a false emergency call claiming he was a victim of a robbery. Upon confrontation, the suspect confessed to his actions, admitting that the fabricated robbery was a desperate attempt to avoid tying the knot.

Man injured by lion

A man was severely injured after mistakenly entering a lion's cage at a private farmhouse in Sabzazar, raising serious questions about the safety measures at such facilities. The incident occurred at the farmhouse of Mian Umar Dola, where the victim, identified as Azeem, had gone to see the lion. According to details, Azeem inadvertently stepped into the lion’s enclosure, prompting the animal to attack him.

Azeem sustained serious injuries to his head, face, and arms and was immediately rushed to Jinnah Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. Police officials have launched an investigation and stated that legal action may be taken against the owner of the lion, Mian Umar Dola, depending on the victim's complaint.
