LAHORE : Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has said in the context of the Sindh High Court and Islamabad High Court's decision regarding Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) that it should be abolished in Pakistan.
PMA Lahore President Prof Ashraf Nizami and General Secretary Prof Shahid Malik, in a joint statement on Thursday, alleged that Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and examining universities are playing with the future of medical students of the country. Nearly 300,000 students of Punjab are suffering from severe mental stress due to the corruption of PMDC and examining universities to award a few favoured academies. They said that it is extreme cruelty that children of NUST and Aga Khan should not take the MDCAT exam, while this exam should be made compulsory for the children of all other boards.
