LAHORE: Around 63,137 cases have been registered against electricity thieves across the province, including Lahore, during the current year.
Around 33,845 electricity thieves were arrested throughout the province and 5,295 offenders were convicted for their role in causing significant losses to the national exchequer.A Punjab Police spokesperson reported that within Lahore alone, 18,479 cases were filed, leading to the arrest of 18,250 suspects.
