It’s that time of the year, again, when the enormous task of farming the paddy is accomplished. The rice fields are unique by virtue of being rain-fed. They require large swathes of arable land which can be flooded well. Finally, the crop is ready for harvest during the months of October and November. Women take part in the harvest as equal partners of their male relatives.
