LAHORE:Hot and humid weather continued to prevail in the City here on Tuesday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
Met officials said continental air was prevailing over most parts while a shallow westerly wave was likely to affect upper areas of the country. They predicted that mainly hot and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country. However, windstorm/thunderstorm-rain was likely at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh. Tuesday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Turbat and Jacobabad where mercury reached 49°C, while in Lahore, it was 43.0°C and minimum was 27.8°C.
