Q1: Dear Mr Abidi, I want to specialise in Career Counselling & Guidance. Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor's (Hons) with a major in Education. I would appreciate it if you could guide me on where I can study this specialisation. Additionally, please advise if it would be a good choice for me. (Maheen Ammar - Islamabad)

Ans: Dear Miss Maheen, in response to your query, I suggest you explore programmes related to your interest at NUST since you are based in Islamabad. Alternatively, you can consider the University of Management and Technology (UMT) in Lahore. In my opinion, it would be beneficial to focus on a dissertation in counselling while completing your degree in Education.

Q2: Dear Sir, I would appreciate your advice on how to enhance my career prospects. Currently, I am an MA student in Project Management at a prominent university in Karachi.

(Ali Asghar - Karachi)

Ans: Dear Ali, you should complete your current master's degree. Afterward, aim to gain 2-3 years of relevant experience in your field. Following this, you may consider pursuing further studies abroad, if feasible, or seeking job opportunities to advance your career.

Q3: Sir, I am a student of Bachelor of Technology (Honors) in Lahore. Could you please suggest what I should do after completing this programme?

(Abbas Afridi - Lahore)

Ans: Once you successfully complete your BTECH, pursuing a master's degree in Telecommunications would be a wise choice. This degree will enhance your job prospects both in Pakistan and internationally.

Q4: Dear Mr Abidi, I am currently studying Mass Communication. Your expert opinion on language selection would be highly appreciated. Should I study Journalism in Urdu or English? Please advise if it is the right choice. (Sheraz Amjad - Khanewal)

Ans: For Journalism, I recommend opting for an English-medium programme. This will help you to develop strong written and spoken English skills, along with proficiency in reading and writing. It will significantly enhance your profile in both Pakistani and international media.
