She said it is commendable that the traffic wardens were performing duties in 45 Celsius temperature under open sky on main roads and Chowks. She said that they were receiving reports that many on duty wardens’ health was deteriorating due heatwave. Considering it, she has issued orders to deliver on priority basis, the umbrellas, cold drinks, waters on regular intervals to the wardens. She has also allowed them to take brief intervals to take rest during duty. Like, a traffic warden after performing duty for 40-45 minutes can take 15 minutes rest by setting the traffic signals on auto or with the coordination of other fellows. Other than that they have announced five monthly leaves instead of four and slashed one hour duty from eight to seven hours in three shifts.
