‘Oral, Maxillofacial Surgery’ Dept established at LGH

LAHORE : A new department of ‘Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery’ has been established in Lahore General Hospital for the treatment and operation of oral and facial cancers and structural defects including fractures of the mouth, face and jaws.

Prof Armaghan Israr Mirza will be the head of this new department. MS LGH Dr Faryad Hussain was also present on this occasion.

It is mentionable that with the opening of this new department, modern treatment facilities will be available to patients suffering from various mouth, face and jaw diseases coming to LGH.

Speaking in this regard, Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute & Amiruddin Medical College Prof Al-Fareed Zafar said that LGH is famous in the whole country regarding the treatment of citizens injured in traffic accidents and the establishment of "Oral and Maxillofacial" department is another big honour and responsibility for the hospital.

He informed that now all types of medical facilities will be available to the patients in our hospital and the patients will not have to go to different hospitals for treatment.

Prof Al-Fareed said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz promised to develop the health sector and provide maximum quality facilities to the patients and by establishing "Oral and Maxillofacial" in General Hospital, another milestone is completed.
