MANSEHRA: Tehsil municipal administration Oghi on Thursday demolished temporary and concrete encroachments that were obstructing the right of way in the city and its suburbs.
Led by Tehsil Municipal Officer Amir Shahzad, the operation utilised machinery to clear encroachments on Tauheed Road, Shergar Road, and surrounding areas.They also removed dozens of handcarts creating hurdles in the smooth traffic flow in the city and its suburbs and also transported them to their godowns.
“We have launched the anti-encroachment drive to clear roads. Due to congestion, pedestrians and motorists couldn’t move freely, and traffic often remains stuck,” Shahzad stated.He also warned traders who place goods in front of their shops and markets to remove them within a couple of days. He said failure to comply with the warning would result in the confiscation of their goods and the imposition of fines.
