Malik Ashfaq stated that Rescue 1122 was established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2017 and has expanded to 34 districts, including both settled and merged districts.“In Nowshera, eight stations are operational, and approval for two additional stations in Akbarpura and Kheshgi is in the final stages,” he added.

Currently, 317 personnel are serving in Nowshera, equipped with trained divers to rescue drowning individuals despite the challenges posed by the polluted and murky waters of the Kabul River, he said.
