What is it about: A celebration of Ajoka turning 40 with an anthology of events that include a show of sequences from Ajoka’s landmark plays, qawwali and remarks
by Ajoka’s stars. No entry fee
*Hip Hop with Ramiz Law
When: Starts May 22. Wednesdays and Thursdays only.
From 8pm to 9:30pm.
Where: The Colony, Lahore.
What is it about: A fresh Hip Hop dance session, which will run for four weeks and have eight classes. It is said to be “suitable for beginners and intermediate-level dancers.” Fee: Rs 14,000 per person
*Zehra Nigah’s Poetry
When: May 23. At 6:30pm.
Where: Annemarie Schimmel-Haus, 155-A, Street 3, Scotch Corner, Lahore.
What is it about: Joy of Urdu’s advisor, Qasim Jafri, will read the poetry of Zehra Nigah, on the occasion of latter’s birthday. The event is part of their monthly Third Thursday sessions.
