IG orders providing relief to cops

LAHORE: IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office and issued orders for immediate relief after hearing their requests.

He directed AIG Admin to assist with the recruitment request for the late Sub-Inspector Ghulam Mohiyuddin's son and forwarded Driver Constable Zameer Ahmad's application for his son's medical assistance to DIG Welfare. He instructed DIG Establishment II to provide merit-based promotion for Constable Saleem Ahmed and directed DIG Welfare to assist the late ASI Naseer Ahmed's wife financially.

Ghazi Constable Tariq Mehmood's request for a Ghazi medal and commendation was sent to CCPO Lahore, and the applications of seven Rawalpindi sub-inspectors for promotion were forwarded to DIG Establishment II for merit-based relief. He also directed SP Operations Cantt Lahore to address ASI M Aslam's application.

345 constables promoted

At least 345 constables of Lahore Police were promoted to the rank of Head Constable. CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana stated that the promotions were based on merit and seniority. He emphasised that the promotion and other employment matters of police personnel are being regularly addressed. He urged the newly promoted officers to perform their duties with further diligence, dedication, professionalism and making public service their priority. The CCPO emphasised that no effort should be spared in serving and protecting the citizens.

High level meeting

Additional IG Investigation Punjab presided over a high-level video link meeting with SSPs, SPs Investigation, DSP Legal, and other supervisory officers. He directed strict compliance with High Court orders and explained directives in four significant cases.
