LAHORE: Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood has said that co-curricular activities are an essential part of education, which develop the characteristics of students.
He was addressing the prize distribution ceremony of Inter-Departmental Co-Curricular competitions 2024 organised by Punjab University Directorate of Students Affairs at Al Raazi Hall here on Friday. On this occasion, Registrar Dr Ahmed Islam, Director Students Affairs Dr M Ali Klasra, faculty members and a large number of students were present. In his address, Dr Khalid Mahmood said that due to admissions on merit on co-curricular activities, the students of PU were achieving success at national and international level. He said that Allah Almighty has placed some qualities in every person which makes him unique from others. He said that Punjab University Department of Student Affairs was the best training platform for co-curricular competitions from which future leaders will be prepared.
