Five uplift schemes approved

LAHORE: The 54th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) F.Y 2023-24 was held under the Chairmanship of Chairman P&D Board Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan on Friday.

The meeting approved five development schemes of Roads and SHC&ME sector with an estimated cost of Rs6.253 billion. The approved schemes include construction of Arifwala Bypass, Length 11.80 km, district Pakpattan at the cost of Rs774.204 million, Programme for Provision of Bio Medical and Non-Bio Medical Equipment in Tertiary Care Hospitals in Punjab at the cost of Rs1.612 billion, Programme for Provision of Missing Facilities in Tertiary Care Hospital, in Punjab at the cost of Rs1.998 billion, Programme for Revamping OPD Blocks in Tertiary Care Hospitals in Punjab (Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital, DG Khan) at the cost of Rs1.275 billion, and Programme for Strategic Transformation/Revamping of old Blocks of ex- DHQs (Rahimyar Khan, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Rawalpindi) at the cost of Rs593.923 million.

Secretary P&D Board Dr Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Nasir Iqbal Malik, Members P&D Board, Head of relevant departments and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments attended the meeting.
