‘Clean environment LWMC’s top priority’

LAHORE:Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) Chief Executive Officer Babar Sahib Din said that providing a clean environment to citizens is LWMC’s top priority.

He said this during his surprise inspections in the areas of Gulberg Town and Iqbal Town on Thursday in a bid to ensure top-notch sanitation services for the residents of provincial capital. During the visit, Babar Sahib Din assessed workers’ attendance and cleaning arrangements, directing the operation team to achieve zero-waste status in the service lanes of Canal Road within 24 hours.

Additionally, he issued manual working instructions to expedite road-scraping process and enhance the collection of waste from green belts.

LWMC CEO inspected various areas, including Liberty Chowk, Guru Mangat Road, Noor Jahan Road, and MM Alam Road. He also reviewed sanitation arrangements at Firdous Market, Medina Colony, Gulbahar Colony, Barkat Market, Jinnah Hospital, Canal Road, and Thokar Niaz Baig.

Emphasising the Punjab government's vision for cleanliness, Babar Sahib Din stressed that these surprise visits will continue across all towns of the city and negligence in sanitation matters would not be tolerated.
