PESHAWAR: Fourteen policemen including three station house officers were suspended on Tuesday for supporting drug dealers in the area.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have launched a drive against the drug dealers, especially those involved in selling ice. It was learnt that a gang was busted and its members revealed that a number of policemen were supporting them in their respective areas.
“An inquiry has been ordered following suspension of 14 cops, including three SHOs, for facilitation and connivance with drug dealers,” an order by the Senior Superintendent of Police, operations, Kashif Zulfiqar said. These cops will be probed and action will be taken further on the basis of the inquiry report.
