His lawyer Muazzam Butt Advocate and the investigation officer of the Ferozabad Police Station in Karachi appeared in the court. His lawyer told the court that the PHC had granted transit bail to the petitioner on September 23, 2023, but the Sindh Police had arrested him despite the bail.

Justice Wiqar Ahmad asked why the petitioner was arrested. The investigation officer, who was present in the court, said he had not arrested the petitioner. He said that officials from another police station had arrested him. The petitioner, who was on bail, could not appear in the court, therefore, the bench directed him to appear at the next hearing. The bench adjourned the hearing, directing the petitioner to appear in person at the next hearing.
