LAHORE:The formal registration of all disabled individuals in Punjab has been launched to ensure that they have access to essential facilities and opportunities, said Minister for Social Welfare and Baitul Maal Department Sohail Shaukat Butt.

Under the visionary leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Punjab government has initiated a historic campaign to empower and uplift persons with disabilities across the province.

This transformative initiative aims to build a more inclusive society by providing comprehensive support and opportunities to individuals with disabilities. The campaign, spearheaded by the Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Department, Sohail Shaukat Butt, is set to revolutionise the way disability is addressed in the province.

Minister Sohail Shaukat Butt, speaking at the launch ceremony, emphasised the significance of this initiative in fostering the welfare and well-being of persons with disabilities. He stated, "This registration campaign is a revolutionary step towards building a society where everyone, regardless of their abilities, has equal opportunities to thrive. Inspired by the vision of our Chief Minister, we are committed to creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for all."

Unregistered individuals are urged to register themselves and obtain their disability certificates through the following link: Additionally, a mobile application, "PWD Services," is available for download on the Google Play Store to provide easy access to information and services for persons with disabilities.

Sohail Shaukat Butt reiterated the government's commitment to promoting the welfare and rights of persons with disabilities.
