LAHORE:Deputy Chairman of the Board of Governors of Minhaj University Prof Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has called for teaching skills to the youth instead of giving them loans or financial aid.
“Our youth should be made skilled rather than making them dependant on financial institutions by offering loans or aid. This will also help resolve the global problem of extremism and illegal immigration,” he said, addressing the concluding session of an international conference at the university.
“At least 60pc of country's population consists of youth, which is the highest ratio in any country. Pakistanis have played a major role in the development of the Gulf, UK and European countries. They should be trained in the skills that are in high demand in the Western world, which should open its doors to this skilled workforce.”
