Azma Bokhari emphasised that while there are multiple farmers' organisations in Pakistan, the government ensures dialogue with authentic representatives, not those who exploit the farmers' cause for political gain.

She pointed out instances where individuals, under the guise of farmers, contested elections against the government. The Punjab government, she assured, is committed to safeguarding farmers' interests and will not permit politicisation of their struggles. Bokhari firmly stated that those using the farmers' name for political mileage will be held accountable, asserting that the PTI's exploitation of the wheat issue illustrates its antagonism towards farmers.
