IG orders resolving issues of police dept employees

LAHORE: Punjab IG Dr Usman Anwar on Monday met the police employees and their families at the Central Police Office and issued orders to the officers concerned to resolve their issues.


He directed the officers to take action on the requests submitted by the employees and provide immediate relief and send the reports to the Central Police Office. Dr Usman Anwar sent the request of Chakwal police's driver constable Muhammad Nawaz for reinstatement of service and recruitment of his son as a constable to the DIG establishment.

Dr Usman directed DIG Welfare to provide relief on the application of Warden Adeel of Lahore Traffic Police for obtaining an NOC. He directed the DIG establishment to provide relief on the application of recruitment of son of Faisalabad Sub-Inspector Javed Akhtar (retd) as constable.

He directed the Additional IG Punjab to provide relief on the promotion requests of Rawalpindi Sub-Inspector Asif Mehmood and Gujarat Sub-Inspector Ghulam Shabbir. He directed additional IG Punjab to take necessary action on the promotion requests of sub-inspectors Ghulam Shabbir and Muhammad Yasin as inspectors.

Dr Usman Anwar directed the officers to provide immediate relief by taking action on all the petitions on merit. He said that the welfare of police force is the first priority, all possible relief should be provided on all requests according to merit.

Another tranche of medical funding released for cops

Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar Monday released another medical tranche for cops. Earlier, the compensation award committee was held at the Central Police Office (CPO) under the chairmanship of Additional IG Welfare and Finance Riyaz Nazir Gara and it reviewed the health cases of cops posted in various districts.

After a proper scrutiny, the committee forwarded the cases to the IGP.

The Inspector General Police released Rs 500,000 for injured ASI Arshad Hussain of Mandi Bahaudin police, Rs 500,000 for injured constable Ijaz Hussain of Dera Ghazi Khan police, Rs 300,000 for injured constable Salman Shoukat of Kasur, Rs 250,000 for injured constable Nasir Yaqoob of Sialkot and Rs 200,000 for injured constable Husnain Akhtar of Mandi Bahauddin.
