Manchester City are struggling for their fourth consecutive English title, setting a high bar for any team aiming to outdo them.

As the game began, City wasted no time in taking the lead, with Erling Haaland's early strike finding the back of the net in just 65 seconds.

Despite Luton's efforts to stay in the game, Mateo Kovacic and Haaland, with a penalty, extended City's lead before halftime.

City's victory over Luton was marked by Erling Haaland's goal within the first 65 seconds, followed by strikes from Mateo Kovacic, Jeremy Doku, and Josko Gvardiol. Haaland scored a goal on a penalty. With this goal, his tally of goals this season has risen to 20. Ross Barkley scored Luton's lone goal.

Talking to the media, City's manager, Pep Guardiola, stressed the importance of winning games and applying pressure on rivals. "The only way is to win our games and put the pressure on. Luton is a difficult game, okay we scored five goals. This is the only message we can do," City manager Pep Guardiola said.
