Hrithik Roshan responds to his recently released film, Fighter breaking Ranbir Kapoor's Animal record, becoming the largest Bollywood film on Netflix.
On Thursday, Hrithik took to his Instagram story to share a tweet, revealing that Fighter has surpassed Ranbir Kapoor's hit Animal and Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki to become the most-watched Hindi film on Netflix in the first 10 days.
The tweet read, "Fighter has broken all previous records on Netflix for a Bollywood Film, leaving behind the previous bests Animal and Dunki by a wide margin. This Hrithik Roshan-starrer garnered 12.4 million views in just 10 days. It has become the fastest Bollywood film to get these figures."
While sharing the tweet, the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara actor wrote, “Yo! (dizzy emoji).”
The film, Fighter was premiered on Netflix on March 21, 2024, following its theatrical release on January 25, 2024.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, the movie stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi as IAF officers.
The film's story-line revolves around the formation of a new elite unit called Air Dragons by the Air Headquarters, in response to militant activities in Kashmir.
