Recently, the Metropolitan Police Department arrested his girlfriend, Shelia Brown, who is now 66 years old. She lives in Annapolis, Maryland. She is the mother of three children.

When Rich was killed, Brown was not at home. Brown reported finding Rich's body in their bedroom after returning home from errands. She also claimed that two men visited the house looking for Rich before she left.

Despite offering a $25,000 reward, the case remained unsolved for decades and the police could not find the killer. Recently, investigators revisited the evidence using advanced technology. They found evidence that led to Brown's arrest.

She has been charged with second-degree murder and obstruction of justice.

D.C. police inspector Kevin Kentish said, "Detectives never stopped looking at the case."
