PINS claims to be first in provision of free treatment

LAHORE: The Punjab Institute of Neurosciences (PINS) has claimed to be the first among the government hospitals of the province to start provision of free medicines and operation services to the patients according to the policy of the Punjab government.

According to a spokesman for PINS, the health department reviewed the records of all the hospitals and found that all the medicines and surgery facilities were provided free-of-cost to the patients who came for treatment in PINS.

In this regard, Executive Director Prof Asif Bashir said that in the light of the vision of CM Maryam Nawaz, the provision of better medical facilities to the patients in the province would be continued and the funds given by the government would be spent purely on the welfare of the patients.

He congratulated the administration, doctors and nurses for fulfilling the expectations of the government and the citizens and asked the health professionals to continue serving the suffering humanity with the same determination and spirit.
