Fauzia, sister of victim Ifra Saeed, in a complaint to police, said that her sister was a traffic warden and posted in North Cantt police station. On April 25, she took short leave from her office as she had to go for the check-up of her sister-in-law’s son at Shalimar Hospital at 4 pm. She talked to her on mobile phone at around 03:35 pm, afterwards, her phone went off and she neither reached home nor the hospital. They searched for her everywhere but of no use. On which, she called police Rescue 15 at 07:34 pm. Police have registered a case against unidentified persons under Section 365 of PPC. Police said that they were searching for the victim.

Sources said the warden, mother of two children, had a property dispute with her in-laws and it was being suspected that she might have staged her abduction. Her husband had died over a year back following which she started demanding her share in property. However, investigation officer Miraj Din said he had been grilling suspects to trace her. It will be premature to say anything about the motive behind her kidnapping, he maintained.

He added that she used to quarrel with his brother and during a scuffle he had lost his life a year back. As she knew about the property of her husband, she started demanding property.

He said they have given her hereditary share of property but she was also demanding share of the kids which could not be given to her till the kids get older.
