LAHORE:Ijaz Anwar Chohan took charge of his responsibilities as Provincial Election Commissioner, Punjab. Joint Provincial Election Commissioner, Punjab, Sain Bakhsh Channar welcomed him in the office.
Ijaz Anwar Chohan presided over an introductory meeting with the officers posted in the office of Provincial Election Commissioner, Punjab. Abdul Hameed, Director (Elections) gave a detailed briefing regarding status of preparations for conduct of general elections 2024.
Ijaz Anwar while addressing the officers directed them to fulfill their responsibilities with hard work, honesty & integrity, keeping close liaison with the field officers so that the preparation for all stages of electoral process can be completed successfully. He also said that negligence in conduct of free, fair & transparent elections would not be tolerated.
