LAHORE : IG Punjab visited Organised Crime Unit Headquarters Township on Wednesday and ordered speeding up the crackdown against drug dealers, professional shooters, proclaimed offenders, extortion mafia and land grabbers.
He said that anti-crime operations should be continued uninterruptedly through effective use of drone cameras and other modern technologies. He directed DIG Organised Crime Unit to personally monitor the intelligence-based operations to arrest the high-profile criminals and for the elimination of serious crimes, coordination operations should be accelerated.
Pins ranks on 61 cops
IG Punjab pinned the ranks of sub-inspector to 61 ASIs of different wings of Lahore police. Parents, children and families of sub-inspectors specially participated in the ceremony. As per IG, departmental promotions were given to 660 officers and personnel of various cadres, including 127 ASIs of Lahore Police.
CCPO concerned over SHO’s performance
