Each inspector is responsible for 14 inspections in a month. All mines have been geo-tagged while all inspection pro forma had been digitised.

The minister said that the mine owners should be registered soon. He directed that the mines department should share its data with PITB to be part of the presentation. Such presentation should be shown to the investors.

He said that the mines department should follow the ACT system regarding fines while two to three weeks should be given for the registration of the mine owners on the CIMS system. He emphasised that such a system should be adopted so that there is no disruption in communication due to non-availability of internet in remote areas. DG Mines and Minerals and PBIT officials were present in the meeting.
