PSCA video highlights underage driving hazards

LAHORE: Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) Thursday released a video highlighting the prevention of accidents involving underage drivers.

The video features a child riding a motorcycle near Mughalpura, Griffin Ground, where he collides with an approaching motorcycle and he and the other motorcyclist sustain injuries. The spokesperson for PSCA emphasised that underage driving can lead to fatal accidents.

The spokesperson maintained authorities concerned are taking action against underage motorcycle riders and so far 7,000 cases have been registered against underage riders. The spokesperson urged the parents to fulfill their responsibilities and never allow their underage children to drive a motorcycle.

Officers visit PSCA

A delegation of under-training officers at National Highway & Motorway Police College, Sheikhupura, accompanied by faculty members, made a study visit to the Punjab Safe Cities Authority here Thursday. During the visit, Safe City officers provided a detailed briefing on the authority's operations and working of different departments. The officers received a comprehensive overview of the intelligent traffic management system, artificial intelligence, and modern communication systems.
