Rs1.5m released for five cops’ medical expenses

LAHORE:Inspector General Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar has released another Rs1.5 million for the medical expenses of five officials serving in different districts.

Traffic warden Muhammad Irfan was given Rs500,000 for the treatment of burn injury. PHP Constable Muhammad Khalid was given Rs500,000 for getting an artificial leg. Constable Khurram Ali Shah was given Rs300,000 for medical expenses.

Lahore police constable Khalid Hussain was given Rs100,000, whereas Nankana police Constable Tanveer Anjum was given Rs100,000 for lung treatment.

IGP ordered releasing funds on the recommendations of the Compensation Award Committee. The committee chaired by Additional IG Finance and Welfare Mohammad Riaz Nazir Gara sent the above-mentioned cases to IG Punjab for further action. Dr Usman Anwar ordered the continuation of measures for the welfare and treatment of the force.

Meanwhile, the IGP congratulated the talented traffic police officer Dr Majid Ali for completing his PhD in Urdu literature. IGP met with the Lahore Traffic Police Warden Dr Majid Ali at the Central Police Office. Dr Majid Ali recently completed his PhD in Urdu Literature. He presented his PhD thesis to the IGP. Dr Usman Anwar congratulated Dr Majid Ali for his excellent academic services.

PSCA cops assume charge

The police officers posted in the Punjab Safe City Authority assumed their charge here on Monday. The appointed officers comprised SSP Shoaib Mehmood, SSP Rafat Bukhari, and SP Muhammad Shafiq. The police officers took charge of the vacant seats in Safe City, with SSP Shoaib Mehmood taking charge as Chief Administration Officer, SSP Rafat Bukhari as SSP Operations Safe City, and SP Muhammad Shafiq as Operation Commander PPIC3. The PSCA managing director welcomed the officers.
