Minister briefed on e-auction role in mining, minerals bidding

LAHORE: Provincial Minister of Mines and Minerals Ibrahim Hassan Murad has said that all government departments moving towards paperless so that the journey of development can be set quickly by benefiting from modern e-technology.

The provincial minister expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of the Department of Mines and Minerals in his camp office on Monday. In the meeting, a detailed review of the future e-auction process in the Department of Mines and Minerals was taken.

The minister was told during the briefing that all the auctions would be digitised through e-auction while 100 percent transparency is being ensured. Further briefing informed that e-auction would play an excellent role in mining and minerals bidding as the bidder would participate in the auction without appearing in public. The auction time is fixed, it cannot be postponed. The minister said that we all should understand the importance of e-bidding. Bring the same system in other departments along with Mines and Minerals Department. without a doubt there are less flaws in the e-bidding system. He said that the e-auction system would be introduced soon in the transport and livestock departments, but the trial fee should be completed in the mines and minerals department as soon as possible.
