LAHORE : Anti-encroachment operation was conducted in Shahdara railway station area under the direction of Divisional Superintendent Railway Lahore M Hanif Gul.
As a result of the anti-encroachment operation, 5 kanals of valuable railway land was retrieved from a land mafia. The value of the land is 50 lakh rupees. No untoward incident occurred on the occasion of the operation, however, the operation against the occupation mafia was successfully completed. The anti-encroachment operation was under the supervision of Assistant Executive Engineer Chaudhry Tanveer Akhtar, while Inspector of Works Yasir Arafat, Assistant Works Inspector M Nabil, SHO Railway Police Shahzad Ahmed, Railway Officer in Charge Railway Police M Hasan played an important role in the success of the operation.
Divisional Superintendent Railway Lahore M Hanif Gul congratulated the operation team for the successful operation and directed to continue the crackdown against the occupation mafia. Regarding the anti-encroachment operation, DS Railways said that they will go to the last extent to protect the railway lands, but extreme measures will not be avoided in the interest of the railways and the safety of the railway property will be ensured in any case.
He said that no exception will be taken from the mafia and the crackdown against the mafia will continue.
