Four injured in accidents

LAHORE

Four people were injured in a road accident in Shahdara Police limits on Monday.

Rescue officials said victims Anwar Saeed and Rehmat were riding a bike. When they reached near Begum Kot, a fast moving mazda hit them. As a result, they were injured shifted to a nearby hospital. Their condition was stated to be critical. In another incident, two people were injured in a road accident in Shahdara police limits. Rescue officials said victims Tanveer and Maqbool were going somewhere on a bike.

As they reached near Ravi Bridge, a bus hit them. As a result, they received injuries. They were shifted to a nearby hospital. The condition of the victims was stated to be stable.

Valuables burnt: Valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were gutted in a fire incident due to short circuit in Shadman police limits on Monday.

Rescue officials said a fire broke out in a house near Canal Road which burnt valuables there. Rescue teams reached the incident place and controlled fire.

WOMAN INJURED: A 34-year-old woman was injured when a police van hit her in Gujjarpura police limits. Locals of the area got furious and broke windows of the van and beat two constables. The constables were admitted to hospital.

Sehar was crossing a road near Shah Wala Chowk when the police van hit and injured her. She was admitted to nearby hospital. The constables were identified Ibrar and Umer Din. Senior police officers reached the spot. No FIR was registered against any party till filing of the report.
