LAHORE:An alleged criminal was gunned down while his accomplice injured in police custody in an alleged police encounter in Manga Mandi. The detained accused Shahid Ali and Abrar were being taken to arrest their other accomplices when their accomplices opened fire on the police party in the limits of Manga Mandi police to avoid arrest. The police party escaped unhurt and the two detained criminals came under firing range.
As a result, Shahid Ali died on the spot and Abrar sustained injuries. Shahid was booked in several cases of murder, attempted murder and robbery. Constable Nadeem posted in Investigation Chuhng was shot at and injured by the accused on Saturday.
