Hollywood stars are doing item numbers in our flicks: Abhishek Bachchan
Bollywood superstar Abhishek Bachchan surrounds himself with people who have starred in Hollywood flicks. We all saw Amitabh Bachchan's role in The Great Gatsby opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. Abhishek Bachchan's wife Aishwarya Rai has also starred in a couple of Hollywood flicks such as The Last Legion and The Pink Panther 2. You'd think Abhishek Bachchan might also venture into Hollywood but quite the contrary is true.
The Bollywood actor, who was recently at a promotional event for his upcoming film Housefull 3 with co-stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Riteish Deshmukh, Akshay Kumar and Lisa Haydon, stated that people from Hollywood were coming to work in Indian movies.
"There is a lot hype given to Hollywood. English is just a language and nothing else. Today there is a huge demand of Hindi films globally. People from Hollywood are coming and doing item numbers and films," he said.
Meanwhile, superstar Akshay Kumar also voiced the same sentiment that he had no interest in Hollywood. The actor stated that currently he was shooting with Rajinikanth for a Tamil film titled 2.0.
"I am doing a Tamil film. I have no interest in Hollywood," he said.
Is Abhishek Bachchan echoing the sentiment because he hasn't been offered any meaty roles in Hollywood or does he truly mean what he says?
