BANGALORE: The West Indies captain Darren Sammy won the toss and put Sri Lanka into bat first in the Super Ten Group One match of the World Twenty20 here at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday.

The team batting second has won 40 out of 75 T20 games in Bangalore and much will depend on the 39-year old in-form Tillakaratne Dilshan to provide a big enough total to put one over on history and a power-packed West Indies side.
