Terror threats for some areas during Eid

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik said Sunday that some areas were under the risk of terrorist attacks during Eid-ul-Fitr.

 

During a high level meeting, Interior Malik and officials from the PTA decided that mobile services may be suspended for a few hours in certain areas to tackle these threats.

 

Speaking to the media Malik said mobile services may be suspended in some areas during Eid prayersfor and for up to 2.5 hours in the evening.

 

According to Malik this request was made by provincial governments who had expressed danger of these threats.

 

The Interior Minister however clarified that mobile services would not be shut throughout the country.

 

The Interior Minister added that Lahore, Multan and Karachi were the areas with the highest risk of terrorist activity.

 

On Sunday night reports were received that consumers were facing difficulty in receiving mobile phone reception in areas of Karachi, Lahore and Multan. Reports were also received that the service of all mobile companies were suspended in Quetta.

If rulers are incompetent and could not overcome issues, problems then in the greatest interest of nation they should allow someone competent to come forward and breing the country out of chaos.

He could not name a single thing where anything got better. Target killing in karachi, situation in Baluchistan, inflation, devalue of currency, unemployment, fall in indusrty output...... Rise in all issues is nothing else but bad governance and incompetent.
