Senior journalist Raja Asghar passes away

ISLAMABAD: Raja Muhammad Asghar of Dawn Islamabad died in Islamabad early in the morning on Saturday due to cancer.
Late Raja Sahib remained associated with Journalism for over 50 years. He worked with APP, Reuters and Dawn where he was senior parliamentary correspondent.
He was laid to rest in his native village Dana, Kacheeli tehsil, district Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of Raja Asghar.
In their separate messages, they prayed that Almighty Allah may rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss with equanimity.
